What was one small boy's meat-- Timmy Evans, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Evans of Jamestown--was poison for this truck driver who jacknifed his semi trying to back out,of the old Jeffersonville Pike east of Jamestown. Police said he zigged when he should have zagged. Stalled cars at the bridge east of Jamestown on US 35 backed up traffic deep into town. On highways spoking out in all directions, the treachery of the roads was demonstrated by ditched and stalled vehicles. (Guardian Photos.) "_______ Deere Readers We have spent a lot of time the past week installing the new Henderson Hoist on our flat-bed truck. This will en able us to tip the bed down to ground level, which elim inates the necessity of skids. It also has a hydraulic winch which will pull even a dead tractoronto the truck bed and hold it there safely and se curely. We feel this will mean a lot to our customers because we can pick up or deliver a tra ctor anywhere safely, with out delay. We’ve still some final ad justm ents to make on this outfit but we exp ect to be hauling tractors around on it by next week. Incidentally, we sold a new 520 tractor to T h u r ma n Bentley of Shady Grove Farm and a good used B tractor to Laurence Foster, on Quarry : road. —John Evans notes from NewJasper Nineteen men attended the Men's Brotherhood banquet at the New Jasper Methodist church Friday e v e n i n g .
