He twitters proudly in the upstairs sitting room against a background of starlight gold walls and carpeting. Origin ally, this c ol or - c ons c i ous bird was to live downstairs in the garden room. But when his cage was painted to match the pineapple wrought iron in that room, he was unhap py— hence the purchase of a pair of tangerine and yel low canaries for the garden room and the transfer of the parakeet. The event marked the offi cial christening of the new ly-redecorated mansion's so cial life. Gu e s t s , warmly greeted, were ushered into the great h i g h - c e i l i n g e d drawing room, a symphony of powder blues with a single lavender chair and touches of Windsor rose in upholstery and needle point. Doors at both sides of the f i r e p l a c e lead into a bright music room done in similar colors. Tea was served to the ladies in the mahogany- p a n e l e d dining room. The Oriental rug with a small floral print came from the old Governor’s Mansion on E. Broad St. The powder blue theme was car ried into this r o om in the d r a p e r i e s and ceilings. A highlight of the dining room is the crystal chandelier with matching wall candelabra. The perfect place to sip tea is the s unny indoor garden Athletic Banquet Set on Thursday The a t h l e t i c banquet of Cedarville High School will be held Thursday night. Before long, Mrs. O'Neill plans to close this area so her family can have some privacy. She is espec ially happy with the master bedroom, a spacious r o om with a southern exposure done industy blush pink. The deep plush carpet has been dyed to match the pink pure sill d r a p e r i e s . Furnishings are Italian provincial with fruit- wood finish. A peek at the c h i l d r e n ' s r o oms revealed a doll-be decked bedroom in turquoise, d a u g h t e r Peggy's favorite color, and scarlet and gray bedroom complete with pig gy b a n k belonging to son, Dubby.
