It is powered by a free piston turbine en gine, ' the first known i n s t a l l a t i o n of its ‘ kind in a farm m a c h i n e . It eliminates crankshaft, c am s h a f t , connecting rods, mushroom-type intake and exhause valves. spark plugs and most other parts of a re ciprocating engine. Nor does the engine use costly and critical high-temperature resistant metals used in conventional gas turbine or jet engines. Fuel is injected in to air superheated by compressi on. The heated air ignites the fuel and its expan sion during burning drives the pistons. about people in Jameitown Published every Thursday of the year at 3 S.
