Did not cut any hay until about August 1 when it was dead ripe. This also took five or six men; they put it in hay-cocks. Part ricked in fields; part in barn. Took sheep to fair at Jamestown, August 25-27. Took sheep to fair in Xenia, September 1-3. The McMillan school house built in August.
