Marturian 1953

Lewis • • q HIS is the day the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. 11 There is cause for joy when, by God's grace, another class comes to the day of graduation. To each member of the class of 1953, we extend sincere and heart-felt congratulations. You embark upon a day of unparalleled opportunity. The harvest truly i s great; but you have at your disposal the means of accomplishing great things for God. It means something to receive a diploma from the Baptist Bible Institute. Wherever a graduate goes in home or for– iegn fields as pastor or missionary, he goes with a spiritual and academic prepa ration that is adequate for a fruit-bearing ministry. As you serve under the banner of the cros s there will be the times of storm and of testing, but our Lord has promised, "Greater is He that i s in you than he that is in the world. 11 As you go to your respective fields of service we shall follow your ministry with deep , affectionate, and prayerful interest. May you never lose your warmth for the things_of God , your humility, nor sense of high privilege as His chosen messengers to a needy world. 9
