I hadn't planned to come back to church anymore. but that tarted m~ thinki ng and I kept attending. H e wa not very large, in La Grange Meetings "'Thirteen D ay With God" wa · the theme of the meeting he ld re– cently at the Fir t Bapti t Church of LaGrange. Gue t evangeli t wa · Rev. Don Winter . The meeting were preceded wit h a great deal of well-pl a nned work and prayer. Invitation and informa– tion were placed on hymn book cover . Advertising wa ent to tho e o n the Church mailing Ii t. One young man made a banner which hung over the pulpit. Each exit-door wa labeled with further adverti ing. Different or– ganization within the church were re po n ible for filling the 24 pew ·. Everyone did uch a good job that the attendance wa the be t j n year ! There wa an average of 150 with a record high of 225. Yet the firn gra p of the e young oldiers as the, leave the chapel each unday morn ing, and their incere ' thank you Chaplain' ' eem to add a new di men ion that I per onall y have neve experienced in my mini st ry of almo twenty year . Obviously, there ar till many who are totally indifferen to the claims of Chri t, but there re mai 11 a great ho t of other who art eager for t!1e piritual direotion tha a Godly Chaplain can bring to thei Ii ves.
