"Happy 25th - Pastor and Wife' ' On Tue day August 10th a urpri e twenty-fifth wed ding anni ver ary celebra tion was held at the Faith Baptist hurch of G a1lipo1i for Pa tor and Mr . Jo eph C hapman. The entire pl a nning wa done by their children . . . Judy, Shirl ey, David and Dia na. Several Jadi e of the church gave a sistance . The children drove thei r parents to Huntington, W. Va. for a delicious evening meal. They presen ted them with a cor age and boutonniere of carna ti on t inted with ilver. Mr . Chapman carried white carna ti on a t their wedding on August 10th 1946. Foll owi ng the dinner they were driven to the church where they were greeted by approx ima tely 175 member a nd fri end of the church ome o f whom held up a large banner which read, "H appy 25th-Pa tor and Wife. " At the church a furth er urpri se awai ted them when their daughter Di ana appea red dre ed in Mr . hap– man· wedding gown , escorted by Kevin Denni , dre ed in Pa tor Chapman's ailor suit . They wa lked to the p] a tform a the tune of "Anchor Away" wa pl ayed afte r which Di ana sa ng, "Let Me Ca ll You Swea theart··. Mas ter of Ceremonies, Mr. Wil bur Denni , pre ented the hapmans with a HThi I Your Li fe'' program . Rela– tives from Connecticut , a well a many other gue t , were introduced . Letter from the ir on-in-J aw, 1 t Lt . Wil bur H. Kirtl and , now ta ti oned a t Okinawa a nd Rev. Leon Tagga rt , the pa tor who married then1 25 yea r ago, were read. Home movie of the earl y marri ed life o f th e Chapmans were shown. G uests were encouraged not to bring gift of ilver . In– tead money wa given which wa pl aced 1n the church building fund in the hapmans, name. They did , however, receive a very lovely sil ver coffee e t.
