The Ohio Independent Baptist, June/July 1971

It was not a protest march, but a productive march initiated by the students that raised $20,000 for capital improvements and a student missionary project at Cedarville College. Over 600 students (and some faculty and staff) walked 15 miles from Cedarville to Springfield to make valid pledges promised by individuals. Each walker was underwritten by sponsors who pledged a set amount for each mile completed. If our students think this much of the ministry of Cedarville College, should not this challenge all o·f us to make the new science building a reality? Many churches have already pledged $1,000 over a three-year period. Have you prayed regarding what part the Lord would have you play in this project? •
