( I Tim. 6:6) In her personal f testimony Marian Bomm used a most fitting text - "I will be better to you than at your beginning". Back in October of thi year, ome 126 friend gatherec:l for a "Retire– ment Dinner' ' for Rev. and Mrs. Ed– \\ ard Bomm. For 36 years, these dear folk '"ere a vital part of the Associa– tion of Baptist for World Evangelism. To Erect New Sunday School Unit The Lord is blessing the work of the Faith Baptist Church in Galli– poli . Ohio. For some time, there has been a need for additional Sunday School space. At a recent church busi– ne s meeting, after much prayer and erious consideration it was voted to proceed immediately with the erect– i nQ of a new Sunday School building. Estimated cost for this project is set at $64,500. The building will include 8 large rooms which will be divided by fold– ing doors accommodating twice as many class rooms to be used for • Sunday School and other various pur- poses. The new building will include a bab}· nursery, toddler nursery, rest rooms. a large foyer, added storage space and a room for all heating and air-conditioning units. It was also voted to keep in view their need for a new Church Sanctu– ary. As soon as the church is able to see its way clear, it will proceed with this additional program. An estimated cost for the church building is $85,000. 6 DECEMBER, 1971 Ed. and Marian, as they are affec– tionately known, first labored as mis– sionaries in the Philippine Islands. During World War II they were taken captive by the Japanese a nd suffered greatly as prisoners of war.
