D I R . ee s FRANKLIN VALPARAISO, INDIANA '4e383 Should All Childless Couples Have Children? Many adoption agencies pl ace children, giving preference to couples who do not have children. There are many couples whom God has not blessed with children and who have a longing and des ire to rear chi ldren. We a re ab le to appreciate the feelings of these people. For any agency to accept a purpose of supplying all childless coupl es with children, however, would be ridiculous. It is poss ible that some couples do no t have children because God intended it to be that way. There are those who can perfor1n th ei r unique calling bes t without th e incumbrance of famil y responsibili ties. The purpose of the Baptist Children's Home is not directed to the adopting couple but to th e child . Our respon ibility is ee ing th at the child is cared for in the very bes t manner. To. ee that the child receives a Christ-centered home is our goal. Therefore, whether the couple has children or not is not of prime import ance to us. It i probable tho ugh that God has left son1e childles so they could take into th eir home by adoption a child of His choos ing. We a re happy to seek th e direction of th e Lord in plac ing children. THE OHIO INDEPENDENT BAPTIST
