Pastor Don Sewell spoke recent!y to over 100 teach– ers at their Kick-Off Banquet us– ing Proverbs 22: 28 - "Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set". For these 75 years the church has been faithfully telling folk "How To Get To Heaven From Toledo"! To celebrate their anniversary the– church planned five great Sundays These began April 8th and climaxed on May 6th. Each of these Sundays had a special emphasis and name. April 8th was "Friend Sunday". April 15th was ' 'Industry Sunday'' . April 22nd was "Neighbor Day". April 29 .. was "City of Toledo Day". May 6th was "Anniversary Sunday". (The exact date of the church's anniversary was May 3rd.) Dr. Joseph Stowell, National Repre· sentative of the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches was guest speaker one of these Sundays. Emmanuel Baptist Church still holds to the Doctrinal Statement they held to 7 5 years ago. She has not changed other than to continue to increase in size. She has grown great· ly and continues to grow! Pastor Sewell states, "We preach the Word of God as it is for men as they are, without apology!" This is one reason why the blessing of God rests on them so richly. A VAi LAB LE FOR ... Pulpit Supply-Special Meetings– Weekend Meetings Rev. Elton C.
