Having an Impac--i on Ohio Larry Fetzer State Representative A number of our OARBC churches have the slogan, "We care about you," or something similar, on their letterheads or bulletins, or on their sign out front. This follows the example of our God, for "He careth for you ." We reach out to lost people, those who are hurting and in need. Sometimes the needy are within our own congregation, so we receive benevolent offerings to assist them. We are a family , and when one hurts, all hurt, and we minister to one another. Likewise, as an association, we care for one another as members of God's family . As sister churches, we consider it a privi– lege to reach out to one another. Right now our churches are working together through our Adopt-a-Church program to help one of our churches in a time of need. The Bethel Baptist Church of Pataskala has outgrown its tiny building, and is relocating to a newer and larger facility . The problem is a lack of funds to prepare the building for use. Several churches have responded already. Perhaps you could also help this soul– winning , dynamic church pastored by Larry Maddux . All gifts should be sent to OARBC, PO Box 2822 l, Columbus, OH 43228. One of the best things caring families can do is to get together on a regular basis. The same goes for churches. We have a great opportunity to get together for some magnificent fellowship coming up at this year's annual conference. YOU need to be there, and WE need you! 4th Annual Day of Prayer Set The Fourth Annual "One Accord" Day of Prayer, sponsored by the Ohio Association of Regular Baptist Churches, will be held Sunday, September 29, 1991. On this day, all churches and pastors of our fellowship are encouraged to give their attention to prayer for our beloved fellowship, including our state representa– tive, Council of Twelve, our churches, pastors, missionaries, and special needs. All churches are encouraged to pray specifically for our fellowship at 11 :00 a.m., during the morning worship service. In the past many have combined with sister churches for afternoon prayer and praise services. Others have used this day to receive a special love offering for the OARBC. There are many different ways to approach this day; the most important factor is that you participate. All churches have received special Day of Prayer packets which contain sugges– tions and information regarding the Annual Day of Prayer. If you would like additional information, please contact Pastor Ken Floyd, who is the Council of Twelve coordinator for the Day of Prayer. His address is: Box 80441, Canton, OH 44708, or call 216-477-6568.
