Craig Colas, 1980 Vicki Butler, 1980 "Cedarville College made me a disciplined person. I was involved in many extra-curricular activities like athletics and music, and I had to work hard to make good grades. Now that I'm an accountant, I am thankful for the excellent academic preparation that I received. I can attest to the fact that I was well prepared to enter the business world." Vicki works as an accountant for the Gibson Greeting Card Com– pany in Cincinnati, Ohio. While in college, she performed well in class, in concert (symphonic band), on the basketball court, and on the softball field . Before graduating with "highest academic honors, 11 she was named AIAW All-American honorable mention, first team All-Ohio Di vision III, and became Cedarville's all-time leading scorer for women's basketball. "Cedarville College interested m e because I liked the idea of com– bining Bible with my premed studies. Originally, Iplanned to transfer to a state university after two years at Cedarville. But I enjoyed a Christian education so much that I stayed and graduated. My dental aptitude scores were excellent, and I was accepted by all the dental schools to which I applied." Craig won the 1980 President's Award, was All American NCCAA in cross country, and participated in Swordbearers. He is a second year dental student at Case Western Reserve University . Charles Wilkins, 1967 "What stands out in my mind about Cedarville College is the tre– mendous commitment of the faculty and staff to quality; and, I ap– preciated the intimate campus setting. The college was small enough to be personally con_cerned about its students, yet large enough to offer a quality program. 11 "Charlie" Wilkins is an example of a quality Cedarville College product. While playing college baseball, he was named first team All– American in the NAIA. As a pitcher, he led the nation in strikeouts and was third in earned run average. Although scouted by eight pro– fessional teams, God led him into education. He is now serving as ad– ministrator of the Walnut Ridge Baptist Academy in Waterloo, Iowa. Margaret (Stowell) Wheeler, 1964 "Someone has said, 'Education is what is left after you have forgot– ten the facts.' At Cedarville College I was helped to see myself through God's eyes, to accept myself not only for what I was, but also for what I could become. Now, as a career homemaker, I find real ful– fillment in the contribution I am making in the lives of my husband and our children, loving them and helping them to become all that God wants them to be." God has extended Margaret's ministry beyond her family to in– clude developing unique needlework designs, writing articles for pub– lication, and speaking to women's groups.
