CENTENNIAL: the celebration of 100 years of life. For Cedarville College this milestone is upon us. In 1987 we will be 100 years old! It all began on January 26, 1887. On that day the vision offive men who desired a college dedicated to training Christian young people in a spiritual framework was realized. Cedarville College was "born," chartered by the State ofOhio as an institution of higher learning. Since that time the College, weathering challenges brought on by changes in our nation and the college administration, has emerged as a dynamic institution. Today, recognized as a leader in Christian higher educa– tion, Cedarville serves over 1800 undergraduate students and ministers around the world. This brief publication, filled with basic information and comments from our college family, is designed to provide you with personal insight into the spirit ofCedarville College - a vibrant spirit guided by our purpose which was established in 1887 and to which we hold today: "To offer an education consistent with Biblical truth."
