6 “I was looking for a Christian college that was comfortable. That’s definitely Cedarville. Chapel is a big part of that. The first time I visited, I was like, “Wow, I am going to have this every single day!” I mean, the worship and speakers were exciting. There’s so much variety, too. One day we heard from Terri Schiavo’s lawyer; another day, John Kitna, back-up quarterback of the Cincinnati Bengals. As with anything, you get out of chapel what you put into it. I have been trying to dig deep, and every day God is teaching me. Soccer is also a big part of my life at Cedarville. You can go anywhere and find a good soccer program. Don’t get me wrong; we played great this year, reached the regional final four, and had five guys on the all-region team. There’s plenty of good competition. But, what really makes Cedarville soccer unique are the guys on the team and our coaches, the times we spend praying and worshiping together. For us, soccer is a ministry. We run camps in the community and use our sport to reach out to people. Athletics at Cedarville Meet Jeremy Auyer I am preparing for a career in sport management. One of my profs, Dr. Carl Schraibman, is one of just five Americans who wrote the curriculum for international sport management programs. He knows everybody, and everybody knows him. When it comes to looking for jobs, networking is a big deal. Even though our program is smaller than some others, we’re known for quality academics and great faculty, so our grads do well. Cedarville is also a sponsor for the highly successful Dayton Dragons AAA baseball club. This sponsorship gives sport management majors hands-on experiences, opportunities for internships, and class time with Dragons’ management – all great stuff for your resume.” Hometown: Liverpool, New York Major: Sport Management Highlights: Varsity soccer, working with an inner-city church in Dayton, missions trip to South Africa this summer
