Q & A 2 Hometown: Louisville, Kentucky Majors : Christian education and youth ministries Highlights: Varsity basketball, Cedarville Scholar, mission trips to Latin America with the women’s basketball team KristiBeougher Why did Cedarville stand out among the many schools you looked at? It was the community atmosphere. I saw that faculty members interacted personally with the students, called them by name, and joined students in the dining hall and in chapel. What about your experience with the faculty? Amazing! The professors here aren’t just communicators of information; they are also role models who are walking with the Lord. Throughout the summers, I have had professors e-mail me, call me, and even send me cards of encouragement. What makes the classes worth going to at Cedarville? We have intellectual professors who are so committed to Scripture. I feel like every class I have taken in my major has been somehow linked to the future and what I am going to be doing. How easy was it to make friends? One huge advantage of Cedarville is that it is a very residential campus. So right away, you are thrust into an environment where you are going to start to talk to people and develop friendships. What will you remember most from Cedarville? The course on Psalms with Dr. Estes. He said something that will stick with me for the rest of my life: “No matter what you are going through, go to the Psalms, find yourself, and find the Lord.” I will leave Cedarville but take with me an unwavering, complete, solid trust that God is my refuge and my rock. That will stay with me for the rest of my life.
