The Dramatic Club met once a month in the Y.W. room. Usually the meeting consisted of a one-act play which was presented by the members of the society. These plays were directed by eithera student or Miss Basore. At one meeting Dr. Markle gave a talk on stage "make-up," offering helpful suggestions to any of us who may direct plays in high school. Besides the regular meetings, the society also presented short plays at ladies' club meetings and near-by schools. It also presented plays for the Cedrus Staff and Senior Class. The plays presented this year at the regular meetings were: "Suppressed Desires," "Bread," and"He Ain't Done Right by Nell." The three-act plays presented this year were: "The Fool" and "Our Town." Much of the success of the Dramatic Club was due to Miss Basore. the director of our plays. Miss Niestrath also gave valuable assistance to the society.
