Proverbs 25:24 Men have attempted to subdue the irascible vixens of their time since the fall of man; for the last four hundred years, Shakespeare's portrayal of this effort has entertained audiences by making light of the challenges of living with a "shrewish" woman. On the first two weekends in May, the Village Players presented Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew as directed by David Robey. The cast of twenty students and faculty was led by Rebecca White and Gary Cooke in the roles of Kate and Perruchio. Shown on Parent's Weekend, many visitors had an opportunity to view what Professor Robey termed "ci successful show." 36 Spring Ploy
