The American Society for Personnel Administration (ASPA) was formed in 1948 by 92 human resource executives who understood the complexities ofthe emerging profession.The Cedarville student chapter of ASPA received its charter in Spring 1987, making ASPA the only nationally recognized professional organization on campus. It was comprised of Business, Communications, and Psychology majors who desire to pursue careers in human resource management. Through professional publications and newsletters, students were provided with the latest information available on the rapidly changing management field. Chapter meetings gave the students the opportunity to interact and network with human resource professionals from the Springfield area.
