Dr. Dixon remindedthosepresentofthecommitment of the college to the liberal arts:"There is no higher education without Jesus Christ." The Engineering department was dedicated to the memoryofDr.ElmerIngstrom. Ingstrom's achievements includedspendingforty yearsat RCA,developing color television, and receiving eighteen honorary degrees.
