The Honor'schapel kicked things off on Friday morning. Thanks to the spaciousness of the Jeremiah Chapel, students and parents alike could comfortably enjoy the service, as awards for academic excellence were given. The next two major events were the Lawn Fest and the Pops Concert. The Pops Concert, which was held later on Friday evening, provided the parents with a taste ofthe richnessofCedarville's music program.The Brass Choir,Men's GleeClub,LabBand,TheConcert Chorale, and Symphonic byBonnt.,Se.b.Efz‘ Bandallperformedmagnificently. Well-knownnumberssuchasThe LionSleepsTonight,IntheMood, HakunaMatata,andTheBattle of Jericho were performed by these vocal and instrumental groupsfortheaudience'slisteningenjoyment. Also during the weekend, Cedarville's track team hosted the NCCAA national track meet,whichtook placeon both FridayandSaturday.Thosewho attended watchedthemen'sand women'steamsachievesuccess, asthewomen'steamonceagain won the national NCCAA title andthemen'steamfinishedthird inthenationalstandings. Anotherhighlightofthe weekend wastheSteveGreenconcert heldonSaturdaynight.Throughoutthe concert,Green blended the music to meet the tastes of adults,collegestudents,andchildren alike.Hisfocuson theimportance ofthefamily wasevident,as wellas his ability toget theaudienceinvolvedinworship. Ofcourse,theweekendwould nothavebeencompletewithout the play My Fair Lady. With morethanonehundredcastand crew members,this production wasoneofthelargestCedarville haseverseen.Asaresult,Alford Auditoriumwaspackedwithdelighted peoplewhowatchedthe characterscomealivethroughthe scenery,costumes, music,and superbactingofallinvolved. Sunday marked the last day of parent's weekend. The churcheswerefilledasstudents escortedtheirparentsto morning services.Followingtheservices, thefamiliesshared afinal meal togetherandsaidfarewell.
