TheYellowJacketsfmished 23-10overallfor theirfirst 20-winseasoninthreeyears. Their 9-7 Mid-Ohio Conferencerecord tiedforfifth placeinthenine-teamleague. "Wefelt like it was a good seasonforusconsideringthe newplayersweincorporated intothesystem,"mentioned headcoach JeffReep. "It's somethingwecancontinue tobuildon." Junior forward John Krueger averaged 22.4 pointstoleadtheMid-Ohio ConferenceandtheNAIADivision I Great Lakes Section. He has piled up 1,778 career pointsduringhisfirstthreeseasons and ranks ninth on Cedarville'sall-timescoringlist. Krueger was named an NCCAA Second Team AllAmericanand wasvotedtothe All-NAIA Division I Great LakesFirstTeam,theAll-MOC First Team, and to the AllNCCAAMidwestRegionFirst Team. He was selected MVP ofthe20th AnnualCedarville Invitational afterscoringacareer-high41 pointsin thefinal gameand wasalsoMVPofthe Jackets'ThanksgivingClassic. Mid-Ohio Conference Freshman ofthe YearJesse Deister scored more points (580)thananyYellowJacket rookieinhistory whichcomputed to an average of 18.1 pointspergame.Hewasone ofthetopfreethrowshooters inthecountryat87.9percent and also paced the squad in field goal accuracy at 55.8 percent.
