‘4. 4 AL. MISSION TRIPS During spring break and the summer of every year,students have the opportunity to serve on mission teams across the globe. MIS is a division of Christian Ministries who help students find ways to serve in various countries. Some of the mission teams travel overseas while some serve here in the United States. Students learn what it's like to be involved in short term mission work and gain first-hand experience in a new and unfamiliar culture. Each mission team typically focuses on a specific task. One team may be involved with medical missions while another team may help with construction. Some of the ministry teams this year included students interested in music/drama,education,sports,and nursing. All students receive training prior to the trip. The training includes learning more about the place where the mission team is going and about each member of the mission team. Students develop relationships with not only the other team members, but also with the people they help and work alongside. My trip was an extraordinary opportunity to tangibly love others and learn much from God. I was changed in a way that will affect the remainder of my years here at Cedarville and impact the rest of my life. I honestly cannot think of a better way I could have spent my break." 1.
