Dr. Savage To Have Full Time Duties YELLOW SPRINGS — Or. Gor­ e'S 1. Savage will become full tin, pun, health commissioner for all of Greene County after Sept, 1 , when he will relinquish Ills part time commissioner's duties with the Payette County Board of Health. Dr, Savage’s decision, announced previously, was prompted by the in­ creasing health problems In Greene County which require a full-time idmlnlstrator. Originally, ho had notified Fayette County officials hq would terminate his duties there Aug. 35. To date, Fayette County health authorities stated they have no re­ placements cither for Dr. Savage or Charles I’. Jones, who recently re­ signed his position as Fayette Co­ unty sanitarian. Elbert Hutchison Will Be Grange Guest Speaker JAMESTOWN - Elbert Hutch­ ison, who recently returned from a nine months stay in Australia on the I. F. Y. E program, will be guest speaker during the lecture program at the regular Grange Meeting Aug. 2ft, S p i , at the Grange Hall. Youth night will be observed with Lee Marshall, youth chairman in charge. The young people in the Grange will fill all offices and give the program. Cub Scout Den 4 Cher-O-Kees Meet JAMESTOWN — Gub Scout Den 4, the Chor-o-kecs, met with their den mother, Mrs. Harry Mossman, Monday afternoon, Scout Tommy Thunin, den chief, and scout Billy Martin, helper, were present and the afternoon was spent working on Indian hats made with felt, fea­ thers and beads. Light refresh­ ments were served. Cubs present Were Viekie Brown, Gary Martin, Andy Bunkiey, Dickie Brandel Haul Reid. Sammy Dean, and Ron­ ald Mossman. For the next weekly meeting, Monday, the hoys will go on a hike at Camp Clifton. American To Move Into New Quarters Soon YELLOW SPRINGS — The Yel­ low Springs American, a new week­ ly founded here nine weeks ago by the Greene County Printing Com­ pany, will move Into new quarters In the very near future' according to Dr. Clyde Adams, Chairman of the board of the publishing firm. The weekly is now occupying rooms in the Myrtle King apart­ ments on Xqnia Avenue but is making plans to move soon to the building on Xenia Avenue next door to the Yellow Springs Market, which is owned by Philip Diehl, of Yellow Springs.
