Indiana Southeat, 30-27, 30-20, 30-20; def. Lee {Tenn.), 30- 20, 30-27, 30-17; lost to ational American (S.D.), 30-21, 30-22, 30- 27; def. Southern Oregon, 30-27, 30-26, 24-30, 30-29; def. Fresno Pacific (Calif.), 30-21, 30-28, 30-25; def. Columbia (Mo.), 33-31, 39- 37, 30-28 (Semifinals); lost to California Baptist, 30-23, 30-27, 32-34, 30-16 (Championship). The Eagles (27-4) earned one of three at-large berths that were given to Region II teams after finishing 2nd at the regional tournament over the weekend. The Eagles swept Vanguard in the quarterfinals, then beat California Baptist in four games before falling to Fresno Pacific in the finals. The national tournament welcomes back the Eagles after the team failed in its attempt to qualify last season. During the last appearance on the national stage, the Eagles persevered all the way to the championship match before falling to California Baptist to earn 2nd place. Concordia ent head-to-head with Houston Baptist during the CU Labor Day Festi al back on September 2. Though the Huskies were the first team to take a game off of the Eagles at that point of the season, the agle still managed a 25-30, 30-21, 30-13, 30-19 win to wrap up the tournament. The Huskies (36-5) earned it place in the tournament with the Region I utle. On the flip ide, the agl ha e ne er met either Hastings or Oli et azarene. Hastings (32-4) earned an at-large bid out ofRegion III after fimshmg 4th at the regional tournament Ii et azarene (30-13) was an ther automatic qualifier, apturing the Region II crown.
