2007 NCCAA Volleyball National Championship Program
On behalf of the Northwestern College community, I would like to welcome you to our campus and to this great National Christian Col– lege Athletic Association national championship event. We believe in the values cemented into the foundation of the NCCM, centered around intercollegiate competition with a Christian perspective. Those six core principles are: 1. Supporting coaches and their institutions in a plan that will impact the Ii es of student-athletes for Christ in the present as well as in the future. 2. Challenging the student-athlete via regional and national competition. 3. Enabling student-athletes to participate in intercultural outreach ministries through missions. 4. Expecting academic excellence. 5 Encouraging Christians to be able to best serve family, school, church, and our world. 6. Making a positive impact in developing the leaders of tomorro . May our experience here at the national volleyball tournament be a memorable and Christ-honoring one! Congratula– tions to each student-athlete and coach for reaching this national championship event. Your participation in this tournament represents many months of dedication, hard-work, and per– severance. We are truly excited to showcase the talents and abilities God has bestowed upon each of the players compet– ing here this weekend. It is our mission at Northwestern College to provide Christ– centered higher education that equips students to grow intel– lectually and spiritually. We desire for this to hold true for each of you as well. May the lessons learned through athletics and competing on the volleyball court, transcend into all areas of your life, including future career endeavors, church, community, and world. The Lord is gracious in providing us with the commend bond we share in our Savior, Jesus Christ. It is my hope that your experience here at Northwestern College and in the CCM tournament will provide an opportunity to de elop new friend– ships and strengthen the body of Christ as we are called to reach the rest of the world, demonstrating God's compelling love instilled in us.
