Students who do not voluntarily cooperate with the regulations and standards of the Institute , both while at School and while at home on ,·acation, may be im·ited to withdraw at any time . GENERAL REGULATIONS Students are urged to et aside a definite period each day , preferably in the morning, for prirnte devotion . Regular attend– ance at student prayer meetings and chapel exercises aid the student in maintaining healthy spi ritual life. All students are required to attend regularly the ser\"ices of a church which is apprO\·ed by the Institute. A minimum of two hours per week of practical Christian service is required of each student. Assignments given through the practical work department must be fulfilled as specified. Students are expected to maintain the highest Christian stand– ards in dress, deportment, speech and habits at all times. Proper dress for young ladies is to be interpreted as meaning dress of modest and conservative length and style. Ladies' slacks a.re per– mitted only for hikes, horseback riding, etc. Abbreviated dress will not be tolerated on any occasion. ::\Ien are expected to dress neatly at all times. wearing coats or sweaters and ties in class rooms and dining hall. Part-time employment to assist in defraying expenses may be obtained after permission has been granted by the Dean. Students are not permitted to work mnre than twenty-four hours a week and ca rry a full cour e of stndie . Although not able to guarantee employ– ment , the Institute seeks to assist needy students in securing ~mployment. All single students are required to live in the dormitory unless they ha,·e special permiss ion to live elsewhe re . Dormitory students are required to furnish their own towels, wash cloths, blankets , com– forters. a bedspread , sheets and pillow cases, dresser scarfs. and desk lamp. All these articles must have proper identifieation marks. Married students must provide ·their own livin_g quarters. The 1nst itute will assist in locating proper housing. All housing must be appro,·ed by the Institute . Students who marry before completing their cou rses will be required to lea,·e school, unless permission ha s been obtained from the F.xecntive Committee. Permiss ion for the use of cars and radios must he seenred from the Dean . - 20 -
