1000 Days Fund Report 2025

INTRAMURAL FIELD EXPANSION Updating Our Athletic Spaces After a busy week, the mental load of being a student can feel overwhelming. Intramural sports are an incredible way to not just relieve stress but meet new people, build friendships, and experience community. Throughout the school year, students can participate in any of the 30+ indoor and outdoor intramural sports. And with 45% of students participating this past year, it’s clear that Cedarville’s intramural sports are a core part of student life. But the spaces for many outdoor sports were getting worn from all the foot traffic over the years. Sports like rugby and lacrosse have grown in popularity and needed suitable space. And, with new student apartments taking the place of key intramural fields, the solution became clear: relocate, refresh, and expand. The new space needed serious work done while students were away for summer break. In early May, over 20 acres were leveled, cleared, tilled, and seeded. With the diligent efforts of our team, the fields were ready on time for our students’ return in August! Thanks to your support through the 1000 Days Fund, eight new fields were created to host intramural and club sports like ultimate frisbee, soccer, flag football, rugby, and lacrosse. To the nearly 1,800 students involved each year, this will be the space where practices grow character, lifelong friendships are forged, and intramural championships are won. 6
