Caring Well. Staying Well. COVID-19 Operating Plan

12 CaringWell. StayingWell. YELLOW JACKET ATHLETICS At the current time, Cedarville University and the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) are planning to host the normal winter and spring sport seasons, though the schedules will be reduced. In addition, volleyball will be competing as a winter sport (January–March) and men’s and women’s soccer will be competing as spring sports (March–April). We will continue to review the ever-changing NCAA and G-MAC standards (daily symptom screens, periodic COVID testing, masking, social distancing, etc.) as we consider the best interests of our staff and student-athletes. Cedarville University is allowing spectators for Men’s & Women’s Basketball and Volleyball. Total attendance will be less than 300 for each event, with the breakdown as follows: • All teammembers (including cheerleaders) will be allowed a limited number of tickets. • Visiting teams will be allowed a set number of tickets. • A limited number of tickets will be available to Cedarville University faculty, staff, and students. As long as tickets are available, students will have access to one ticket each, while faculty and staff will be able to reserve two tickets. Tickets will become available online at the Ticket site 24 hours prior to the start of each home event. Basketball doubleheaders are being split. Each men’s and women’s game is a separate ticketed event. Social distancing is expected and masks are required. EXPERIENCING SPRING EVENTS GLOBAL OUTREACH At the start of the semester, we will enjoy a two-day Global Outreach emphasis on January 27–28, titled “Commissioned: CUGO Days.” Watch for additional information coming soon! COMMENCEMENT Lord willing, we plan to have commencement as planned onMay 1. We will invite the class of 2020 to return to campus for a long- awaited celebration along with the class of 2021. The commencement will likely be held outdoors. More details will be forthcoming as we finalize plans. HOSTING EXTERNAL EVENTS We will begin hosting admissions group events, like CU Friday and All-Access, as conditions allow.
