Two associates of Rudy Guiliani implicated in efforts to dig up dirt on Joe Biden are arrested during their attempt to leave the United States and indicted on criminal charges. Bill Taylor, U.S. diplomat in Ukraine, tells impeachment investigators during closed-door testimony that U.S. military aid for Ukraine was contingent on a promise by Ukraine to conduct investigations into the 2016 U.S. election and into Burisma/the Bidens. He also revealed that Zelensky would have been invited to the White House if he had publicly announced the investigation into Burisma. Two dozen Republican members of Congress stormed the office suite where a Pentagon official was preparing to testify in the impeachment investigation, chanting, “Let us in!” Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi announces an official impeachment inquiry into Donald Trump. The White House announces that it will not cooperate in the “illegal” impeachment inquiry. The three House committees launch an investigation to see whether the president, his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, and others pressured the Ukrainian government to assist the Trump.
