One thing my Cedarville experience has taught me is that the Lord is good. He is using places like Cedarville University to advance His Kingdomwork. The Lord has used Cedarville University to change my life, and I pray that He does the same for others.” Joshua Jones ’24, Molecular Biology WHY DO YOU GIVE? A s Cedarville alumni, current parents, and donors, Chris ’00 and Amy (Hamilton) Pool ’00 are deeply connected to Cedarville University. We asked them to share a little about what they think the value of a Cedarville education is, how it has impacted their lives, and why they fund a scholarship to provide that same experience for students they do not know. WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO GIVE TO CEDARVILLE BEYOND YOUR STUDENT’S TUITION? We have been charged to make an impact for the Kingdom. Jesus said it best in Matthew 28:19 when He said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations … teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” We feel that we are not just investing in a great university, we are investing in the lives and outcome of our next generation. The young men and women who are coming out of Cedarville will be our next teachers, nurses, businessmen, community leaders, and possibly even national political leaders. We believe that the best way to change this world is to start by equipping these students to serve Jesus well with both a vocation and spiritual education that will help themmake a lasting difference in the world. HOW DOES YOUR EXPERIENCE AS CEDARVILLE STUDENTS AFFECT YOU AND YOUR GIVING TODAY? As Cedarville alumni, we have experienced firsthand how the education, community, chapel services, and more have contributed to our faith and well-being and fostered a Kingdom impact in so many more ways. Cedarville students are well grounded in Scripture, and they are well influenced by the faithful obedience and good-standing instruction of the faculty and staff. The faculty and staff desire for their students to be successful and to be living proof of the Gospel and equip themwith the tools and knowledge they need to flourish when they graduate fromCedarville. Cedarville University has had a big impact on both of our lives. We know the value of a Cedarville education because we are proof of it. Our lives are better because of the biblical foundation that Cedarville instilled in us. How could we NOT want that for others? It has been such a blessing in our lives both personally and for our kids (and siblings too!). We are grateful for Cedarville and its firm biblical stance, and we are thankful that God has blessed us with the opportunity to give back and help others have that same experience. Your generosity can make a difference for Cedarville students, too. Make a gift today at cedarville.edu/give. 33
