The Yellow Jackets’ distance medley relay foursome placed seventh in the country to garner All-America honors at the NCAA Division II Men’s Indoor Track and Field Championship in Pittsburg, Kansas. The quartet of Jaden Johnson, Braedon Killion, Caleb Sultan, and Ramen Felumlee turned in a time of 9:52.03. They set the school record earlier in the season with a mark of 9:42.48. Johnson placed eighth in the 400-meter final in 48.08 seconds to gain All-American status (top eight finishers) in the event. The senior fromWindsor, Colorado, established new Cedarville records in both the 200 meters (21.67) and 400 meters (47.63). Additionally, Haleigh Eckert tied for 12th place in the women’s pole vault to earn a spot on the All-America second team. She qualified for the meet with a school-record effort of 13-0.25 (3.97 meters). YELLOW JACKET QUICK HITTERS § Matt Schaeckenbach was named Freshman Athlete of the Meet at the G-MAC Indoor Track and Field Championship after winning the men’s high jump and placing third in the heptathlon. § The men’s track and field teamfinished as the runnerup at the NCCAA Indoor Championship. § The Lady Jacket cross country and volleyball programs were tabbed NCCAA Scholar Teams. § A total of 37 Yellow Jackets were recognized as NCCAA Scholar-Athletes in the sports of men’s and women’s basketball as well as men’s and women’s indoor track and field.
