together in their church services. We then headed north to set up a tent city for a large-scale evangelistic medical outreach in Tijuana, Mexico. Our team assisted various medical and logistical support stations during the outreach, where 663 services were administered and 158 people prayed to receive Jesus Christ as their Savior. The local Tijuana churches will now follow up and disciple these new believers. The week was packed full of opportunities to serve, build relationships, and encourage the local missionaries, including Craig and his family. We watched God’s hand of blessing and favor in so many ways throughout the week. As an individual member of a short-termmissions team, it is easy to feel like you are not having much of an impact, especially if you cannot speak the language. Craig sent the following message as part of a debrief for the team once we were back on campus. These words were an encouragement to our students, and I pray they will be for you as well as you seek to be available and obedient to how God might call you to make an impact in this world. “The teamwouldn’t have been complete without each person. God’s divine plan was perfectly worked out by your presence on the team. It’s not what you personally accomplished on the trip but rather the results of the whole team as each person supported the works of the team through their individual gifts. Recall the testimonies of how previous children saved at VBS in Mexico now serve their Lord daily. Know that our prayer counselors at the brigada medica will be presenting the salvation decision cards to local pastors for follow up and integrated discipleship courses. Each teammember encouraged us and all the missionaries and local church workers you met to carry on in their ministries. Each teammember glorified God with their obedience to serve. Each teammember equipped others to further God’s Kingdom." - Craig Libby ’89 We are planning more Global Outreach trips for alumni to partner with and support fellow full-time alumni missionaries.
