CEDARVILLE LAUNCHES NEW HEALTHCARE INNOVATION PROGRAM Cedarville University is launching a new healthcare innovation program as part of its master's degree in innovation. The new track fills a critical need in shaping the future of healthcare in the U.S. and around the world. This program connects creativity with problem-solving to generate innovative solutions to the critical issues facing healthcare systems today. The coursework was created in conjunction with the International Center for Creativity (ICC) in Columbus, Ohio. The ICC has had a long-standing partnership with the University in developing innovative programs, including the Bachelor of Arts in industrial and innovative design, the Master of Business Administration concentration in innovation and entrepreneurship, and the MA in Innovation. A flexible online program, the new master’s in healthcare innovation allows students to be self-paced, with an estimated completion time of two years. This degree program joins the ranks of 30 graduate programs that Cedarville has to offer. Healthcare is a rapidly changing industry that needs creative innovators who are ready to tackle the challenges ahead — Cedarville is ready to fill that void. This program is designed to benefit healthcare providers and individuals on the business side of healthcare. Cedarville alumni and parents qualify for a 10% discount on all online graduate programs, including the MA in Innovation. CEDARVILLE SONGWRITERS COMPOSE ORIGINAL WORSHIP MUSIC Aspiring songwriters had the opportunity to display their talent in the 13th annual Cedarville University songwriting contest, sponsored by the Department of Music andWorship. Ellie Giordano of Clarkston, Michigan, and Emma Haylett of Aurora, Colorado, won this year’s contest with their original song, “My Soul Sings.” There were 26 entries, and each musical selection was required to be suitable for congregational church worship. Each song could be written individually or with other students. The songs were judged based on creativity, originality, musical details, the singability of the melody, and the theology of the lyrics. All of the songs were evaluated by a panel of judges from the music industry, including Andrew Osenga, Chris Clayton, and Bailey Hager. Worship song submissions from previous years, including “Return to the Lord” by Paige Senseman, have been played in Cedarville’s chapel programs and released on Spotify. This year’s winning submission was performed at Cedarville during a weekly worship chapel.
