CEDARVILLE CUE SCHOOL INSPIRES STUDENT AUTHOR Young entrepreneurs are making their ambitions a reality with the help of the new Cedarville University Entrepreneurs (CUE) School. For Kaicheng Ye, a senior cyber operations and computer science major, CUE School inspired him to publish his first fiction novel, LIGHt, which is now available on Amazon. The storyline follows four middle school students who discover a suspicious person lurking around their school courtyard and find themselves in a mess they never expected. Ye began writing his book five years ago alongside his nine-yearold sister, Kylie. Ye's sister helped him brainstorm ideas, suggested storylines, and even wrote a small portion of the book. Driven by imagination and creativity, Ye spent his college years writing and refining his book, all while searching for a publishing opportunity. While attending CUE School online this past summer, Ye’s focus crystalized when he listened to Dr. Kary Oberbrunner’s session on “Publishing your e-book." The session motivated Ye to become an Amazon author and publish LIGHt. “My goal in publishing the book was not to make money, but to share an entertaining story that young people can enjoy and use to share the Gospel,” said Ye. “The book has underlying references to Bible stories and a section explicitly sharing the Gospel message. I aim to glorify God in every endeavor I pursue." While Ye still plans to pursue a career in cyber operations, he is also excited about his new creative writing hobby and newborn entrepreneurial mindset. He credits CUE School for equipping himwith the knowledge and resources to transform his idea into a finished product. 43 UPCOMING EVENTS DECEMBER 8 Community Christmas Concert JANUARY 7–9 Global Outreach Conference 24–25 Worship 4:24 FEBRUARY 13–15 Music Showcase 13–23 Winter Play: Radium Girls 17 CU Monday MARCH 1–9 Spring Break 14 CU Friday 28 All-Access Orientation cedarville.edu/events JOIN OUR MISSION-DRIVEN TEAM Cedarville is currently hiring faculty and staff in the following areas: Faculty §Robert W.
