VOLLEYBALL TEAM RETURNS TO GUATEMALA FOR GOSPEL SERVICE Cedarville students’ outreach doesn’t end with the academic year! On May 4, just days after finals ended, the Lady Jackets volleyball team left for a one-week trip to Guatemala to share the Gospel through a shared passion for sports. This was the team's second ministry trip to Guatemala. According to head coach Greg Smith, the trip presented an important opportunity to continue building relationships with people they had connected with during their previous trip. While in Guatemala, the team focused on running volleyball clinics and building meaningful relationships with the kids by going to school with them and being a part of their everyday schedules. The team shared Christ's love through spending intentional time with them. What the athletes and coaches enjoyed most was reconnecting with familiar faces, sharing the Gospel, and helping lead people to Christ. “We can use the gifts that God has given us through athletics to be an outreach to other people that have interest in athletics,” Smith said. “That's such a good connection point to start off with." 35
