EXPRESSION OF SYMPATHY REV. DR. JAMES PARKER ’64 Rev. Dr. James D. Parker, Sr., a lifelong minister of the Gospel and the namesake of Cedarville’s Parker Hall, went home to be with the Lord on November 22, 2025, at age 92. Rev. Parker was the first African American student to apply and enroll at Cedarville, completing his degree in 1964. We are grateful for Rev. Parker's legacy of faithful ministry and honor his important place in Cedarville University's history. SANDI (WELCH) HARNER ’64 Sandi Harner, Senior Professor Emerita of Technical Communications, went to be with her Savior on October 31, 2025, at age 82. Professor Harner was foundational to Cedarville’s professional writing program, building it from the ground up and keeping it on the cutting edge of the field for her nearly 40 years of teaching. Her deep care for students and her fellow faculty and staff defined her time at Cedarville. LINDA CAVE Linda Cave, former Assistant Professor of Nursing, went to be with the Lord on January 22, 2026, at age 67. She faithfully served the School of Nursing for 32 years before retiring in 2021. She was well known for her care for new students and faculty and served on several nursing missions trips alongside fellow School of Nursing faculty and students. MARGARET GREEN Margaret Green, a longtime member of Cedarville’s Christian Ministries team, went home to the Lord on February 1, 2026, at age 94. As Secretary to the Director of Christian Services (her husband, Pastor Harold Green), Margaret faithfully worked behind the scenes to keep this vital office running for 33 years. She was awarded the Staff Member of the Year award in 1977 and jointly received the Distinguished Service award alongside her husband in 1994.
