YELLOW JACKET QUICK HITS SNYDER FAMILY GIVES GENEROUS GOLF SCHOLARSHIP Sean and Jacci Snyder presented a $10,000 gift to the Cedarville University men’s and women’s golf programs as they launch the Jack Elton Snyder Scholarship, an annual award established in memory of their son, Jack. The scholarship, funded through the Jack Elton Snyder Foundation, will be distributed each year to members of the Yellow Jacket golf teams. CEDARVILLE TIES ALL-TIME PROGRAM BEST AT CROSS-COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP The Lady Jackets won seventh place at the NCAA Division II Women’s Cross Country Championship, tied for the best finish in program history. Cedarville won its fourth G-MAC trophy in the past five years and ninth overall before turning in a runner-up performance at the Midwest Regional. Graduate student Emily Walsh finished 31st overall to earn All-America honors. A SUCCESSFUL SEASON FOR YELLOW JACKET SOCCER Both Yellow Jacket soccer teams advanced to the second round of their respective NCAA Division II Championships. The men produced their first unbeaten regular season (11-0-7) in the 63-year history of the program. Brett Faro was G-MAC Coach of the Year, with player honors going to Michael Catanzarite (Offensive Player of the Year), Amari Everage (Defensive Player of the Year), and Eben Dewhurst (Goalkeeper of the Year). The Lady Jackets upset seven-time NCAA champion Grand Valley State in the first round behind G-MAC Defensive Player of the Year Sophie Browndyke. LADY JACKET VOLLEYBALL EARNS SOUTH DIVISION TITLE The Lady Jacket volleyball team repeated as G-MAC South Division Champions. Five players were voted to the league’s first team, and Greg Smith was G-MAC Coach of the Year. Junior outside hitter Madelyn Hensley was selected as the NCCAA / AVCA National Player of the Year.
