Cedarville Magazine 251 N. Main St., Cedarville, OH 45314 1-888-CEDARVILLE | magazine@cedarville.edu cedarville.edu/magazine I came to believe in the mission of Cedarville University by watching from the outside. As a pastor at a nearby local church, I was impressed by the growth in biblical understanding and godly affections that I saw in students from their freshman to senior years — their lives had truly been transformed. Students would talk about the impact of studying Scripture in the Bible minor and hearing faithful preaching from the chapel stage. Alumni would chime in to affirm that they had the same experience at Cedarville years or decades ago. My transition to teaching and leading the SBTS was a way for me to participate in this mission of discipling a specific age group to serve Christ and His Church. The SBTS has a vital part to contribute to Cedarville's overall mission: training students in the Scriptures for Christian life and ministry. It should not be surprising that the focus of the Bible minor and other Bible classes is the Bible. FOCUSED ON THE FIRM FOUNDATION We are laser-focused on training students to rightly interpret, understand, and live out what God has said in His Word. We are committed to ensuring that every student understands the message of the Bible and has witnessed real-life submission to biblical authority in the lives of their professors. We are committed to ensuring that all ministry students are well-trained in the Scriptures so that they can minister the Word effectively. Launching Cedarville Theological Seminary reaffirms that deeply held commitment for generations of students to come. As the SBTS takes part in this new step in Cedarville’s growth, we are dedicated to equipping future students with the same biblical foundation and ministry focus for which Cedarville has always been known.
