Cedarville Magazine Summer 2019

The new Business Building will tell the story of business as missions while providing a space for excellent academic preparation and spiritual growth. The lobby will cast a vision for business leaders to align their God-given talents with their God-given passions to advance the Gospel. As one of the largest schools at Cedarville University, the School of Business Administration will finally have room to grow. And, the School is thriving — not just in terms of student enrollment but also in terms of new and innovative programs. This fall, Cedarville will launch an Entrepreneurship Accelerator to educate, inspire, and fund students to lead business startups and stimulate job creation. The expanding Master of Business Administration program now offers five specializations in business analytics, cybersecurity management, innovation and entrepreneurship, healthcare administration, and operations management, as well as a dual Pharm.D./M.B.A. program. Cedarville’s CPA pass rate continues to be among the best in the nation, and finance majors are out- performing the markets as they manage University endowment funds in a portfolio of equity securities in the Applied Portfolio Management course. It is time for the School of Business to have a state-of-the-art home that matches the quality and innovation of its programs and faculty. Adequate conference and banquet space is essential for hosting groups of alumni, parents, and friends, and the Business Building will have one large open dining space that can be subdivided into four smaller areas, each able to hold up to 150 people, with the combined space serving up to 600. This space can also be set up with theatre-style seating to accommodate 800 or more. INFLUENCING CULTURE THROUGH BUSINESS 10-YEAR CAMPUS MASTER PLAN BUSINESS BUILDING 16 | Cedarville Magazine
