He has a Ph.D. in Genetics from Clemson University, an M.S. in Plant Science from the University of Idaho, and a B.S. inAgriculture Ed. fromWashington State University. He was a faculty member in Genetics and Biochemistry at Clemson University for a decade, publishing 57 secular research papers and seven book chapters.
