recently returned from missionary service in Mozambique, Africa and will attend Columbia Biblical Seminary. Devon is a graduate student at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He has completed his master of nursing and will finish a doctor of nursing by February 1999. Mark attends Dallas Theological Seminary and serves as youth pastor at Dallas Bible Church. Jeff is a resident director at Cedarville College. Scott Hartley '95 earned his MBA with specialization in finance and operations management from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania. Scott served as a graduate assistant in the school of management before taking a job as a design engineer in the life support business group at Gentex Corporation. At Gentex his responsibilities include program management, design engineering, and new product development of protective equipment used in military applications. Scott was selected for Tau Beta Alpha, Beta Gamma Sigma, and Who's Who in American Universities and Colleges. Christine IIljes Reid '95 and her husband, Andrew, are running an 800-acre red deer ranch in Copenhagen, New York. Bryan '96 and Amy Hoop Jefferies'96 recently moved to Indianapolis. Bryan is in his third year of medical school at the Indiana University School of Medicine and works in the emergency room at St. Francis Hospital. Amy is currently working as a nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit at Methodist Hospital. Carol Lee'96 began her master's degree studies at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She will study college student personnel. Kathleen Revtlinger '96 is teaching special education in the Wilson Reading Program at Penridge High School in Perkasie, Pennsylvania. Kathleen and her husband, Stephen, anticipate the arrival of their first child. Tanya Nicholson Zelem '96, and her husband, Robert, are buying their first home in Wake Forest, North Carolina. Heather Marsceau '97 will begin classes at Dallas Theological Seminary this fall. Lisa VanWormer'97 works as a technical communicator for Datastream Systems, Inc. in Greenville, South Carolina. Brad Bartlett'98 lives in Durham, North Carolina where he works for IBM Corporation as an information developer. Brad is engaged to Tanya Brockman '97. Stephanie Dickerson '98 accepted a job at Spartanburg Regional Health Care as a nurse on the medical/surgical floor. Focus ON THE FIELD Jeannie Lockerbie Stephenson '61 and her husband, Wally, spent March 1998 in South Africa, where Wally had served as a missionary. The Stephensons spoke in seminars, churches, homes, and a weekend church camp.They currently serve in the Pennsylvania home office for Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE). Irene Benson '63 has returned to the United States for six months of home ministry. In December 1998, she will return to Brazil and her work among the WaiWai Indians. Grace Trimble Kintner '67N and her husband, Dave, have joined the maintenance staff at Missionary Acres, Baptist Mid-Missions' retirement facility in Silva, Missouri. Ken Cole '70 and his wife, Alice, will be living in Fort Wayne, Indiana during this year of home ministry. The Coles serve with ABWE in Bangladesh. Vic Millard '75 and his wife, Cyndi, work with Campus Bible Fellowship at Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania. They praise the Lord for an average 35 students that participated this past year in a weekly study on Philippians and I Peter. They also conduct a number of one-on-one Bible studies. Vic and Cyndi celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on August 8, 1998 with a dinner at First Baptist Church in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. Evandro Batista '77 and his family are on furlough from their church- planting ministry in Portugal with ABWE. They will be living in Pemberton, New Jersey. Russ'88 and Melody Dillon Wight '90 are AWANA missionaries in western Kansas, southern Colorado, and the Oklahoma panhandle. They have a daughter, Kimberly (2). Jon '90 and Lori Rogers Haskell '90 serve as missionaries in Hungary with ABWE. This summer, they participated in English language programs taught by Cedarville College teams in Budapest, Kecskemét, and Nagykanizsa. During the furloughs of several veteran missionaries, Jon has recently assumed financial responsibilities for the Hungarian mission team. As Jon and Lori continue in language study, they are taking opportunities for evangelism and discipling with families in their neighborhood. Bobby '90 and Sara Sweetland Rile '92 are living in Michigan during this year of home ministry. Ministering in Durban, South Africa, the Hiles work in church planting, as well as youth and radio ministries. They have two children: Abigail(3)and Andrew (1). Amy Brien Eagle '94 and her husband, Johnnie, minister with Inner City Impact in Chicago, Illinois. Brenda Sprankle '94 has completed a year of missionary service in Too!mos, Hungary. Brenda taught English classes at the Word of Life Bible School and in the village public school. In June, she attended WOL's Missionary in Training program and has been accepted for full-time ministry in Hungary. Allan McGuire '95 and his wife, Joyce, recently arrived in Swaziland, Africa for their ministry with Trans World Radio (TWR). Allan is being 10 FALL'98 trained as a shift engineer and operator at the transmitter site in Manzini. Joyce is a secretary in the TWR office and helps with weekly children's Bible clubs. Rhonda Carnahan '96 is working in public relations with Christian Mission Aid ((MA) based in Kenya. She is responsible for their quarterly newsletter, reports and appeals, promotional photo albums and videos, and other means of communicating with donors. She travels to project sites throughout Kenya, Uganda, and South Sudan for photo shoots and interviews. Brooke Frazier '97 has been accepted as a short-term missionary with The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM). In September 1998, she will travel to Lublin, Poland for a nine-month assignment. She will be involved in evangelism, discipling, and teaching English. ONE IN CHRIST Jonathan Sachs'84 and his wife, Laura, were married May 9, 1998 at Grace Christian Reformed Church in Chatham, Ontario. They met through a community choir in which Laura performed as a soprano soloist. Jonathan recently began working for Keane Computer Consultants in Southfield, Michigan. Jane Sparling '85 and Gary PO were married April 18, 1998 at Bible Baptist Church in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey and honeymooned in Hawaii. The Pychs have settled in Garfield, New Jersey. Jane works for Englewood Hospital and Medical Center as an executive secretary, and Gary is a carpenter with Skyview Builders. Sandra Pratt'86 and Brad Hayward were married May 9, 1998 at Washington Heights Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio. Stefanie Pratt Wimmer'85 and Marlene Siefert Williams '86 joined the wedding party. Sandy serves Cedarville College as a faculty member in the nursing department, and Brad is an accountant for Lexis-Nexis. Matt Cutler '94 and Brooke O'Donnell were married October 11, 1997. They enjoyed a Caribbean cruise and currently reside in Lansing, Michigan. Matt is employed by Two Men And A Truck International, and Brooke is a project controller for Deloitte and Touche Consulting Group. Jennifer Doak '94 and Bill Young were married July 18, 1998. The Youngs reside in Waterford, Ohio. Heather Christie '95 and Jeremy Hale were married May 23, 1998. The Hales reside in Lewiston, Michigan. Eric Gingerich '95 and Debbie Brazalovich '97 were married June 27, 1997 and honeymooned in Cancun. They reside in Columbus, Ohio where Eric works in sales and Debbie teaches seventh grade at London Middle School. Daniel Reiner '95 and Jonna Nunley were married July 18, 1998. Both ore children of missionaries from Brazil. Melinda Siert'95 and Andrew MacKinnon were married July 28, 1997 and enjoyed a honeymoon at Disney World. The MacKinnons reside in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where Andrew attends the University of Wisconsin/Milwaukee Medical School. Darren Young '95 and Rebeccah Gerber '95 were married May 16, 1998 at Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church. Darren works as a nurse in the emergency room at Children's Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio, and Becky works as an emergency nurse at Miami Valley Hospital. Heidi Comers'96 and Tim Overdorf were married June 13, 1998. They reside in Xenia, Ohio. Keith Hamer'96 and Pamela Sibole '97 were married June 27, 1998 in Samantha, Ohio. They currently reside in Springfield, Ohio, and Keith works for CDR Radio as an announcer. Jeremy Haskell'96 and Amy Varner'96 were married December 27, 1997 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and honeymooned in Palm Springs, California. On May 9, Jeremy graduated from Shippensburg University with a master's in counseling and was named Graduate Student of the Year by the graduate faculty of Shippensburg. The Haskells recently moved to Hungary and are ministering at International Christian School in Budapest. Jeremy will teach Bible and sociology, while Amy will work in special education. Ken Mantle'96 and Rebecca Wright'96 were married March 21, 1998 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Wadsworth, Ohio. Rebecca's father performed the ceremony. The newlyweds honeymooned in Holden Beach, North Carolina. Rebecca is a nurse at Medina General Hospital, and Ken works in construction. 4010% Marisa Young '96 and Richard Moore were married May 17, 1997 at First Christian Church in Springfield, Ohio. Marisa is employed at North American Christian Convention, and her husband is a youth minister at Pleasant View Church of Christ in Angola, Indiana. Heather Bethel'97 and Todd Pendleton were married August 23, 1997 in Buxton, Maine. David Junkins'97 and Marie Curry'97 were married July 18, 1998. They reside in Exton, Pennsylvania, and Ryan will attend graduate school at Pennsylvania State in the fall. Melisa Young '96 and Eric Burdick were married July 26, 1997 at First Christian Church in Springfield, Ohio. Melisa is a kindergarten teacher at Horace Mann Elementary in Springfield, and Eric is an account executive with Pepsi. Betsey Lindaberry '97 and David Maier were married October 25, 1997 and enjoyed a honeymoon at Disney World. Betsey is working as a medical/surgical nurse at Cooper Hospital in Camden, New Jersey, and David is a research technician at the University of Pennsylvania. The Maiers also enjoy helping out with the senior high group at church. Kim Collins '97 and Charlie Walker'97 were married March 1, 1998. They reside in Hickory Corners, Michigan and work at Gull Lake Bible and Missionary Conference Center. Sarah Jenks'97 and Jonathan Weber'97 were married July 4, 1998 in Watkins Glen, New York. They reside in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Stacey Wilkinson '97 and Eric Meidel were married June 6, 1998. They reside in Covington, Indiana. Jonathan Williams'97 and Anna Hyndman were married August 2, 1998 in St. Louis, Missouri. Cedarville alumni participating in the wedding included Aaron Bey '96, Jamie French '96, Tom Richards '97, Sara Ludwig '97, Fred Ludwig '96N, Mat Murphy '98, and Chris Ashcroft '98.The Williams reside in Kalamazoo, Michigan Ormsbee Marries David Ormsbee '78, vice president of enrollment management at Cedarville College, married Joni Stacy in an evening ceremony at the Dixon Ministry Center on July 25, 1998. The ceremony featured traditional customs and an international flair. Twelve couples stood for the bride and groom, a custom taken from Brazilian culture. From New Testament times, Dave and Joni borrowed the tradition of the groom escorting the bride to the ceremony. This was symbolized by Dave meeting Joni as she walked down the aisle. Dave and Joni first met through their mutual friends Roscoe '82 and Rhonda Crist Smith '83.Joni taught high school mathematics in the Beavercreek, Ohio school district and joins the Cedarville College Department of Science and Mathematics faculty this fall. The couple reside in Fairborn, Ohio.
