Kevin Geiss,a 1990 Cedarville College graduate who majored in chemistry, served as a key liaison to acquire this gift. Kevin(toxicodynamics group administrator at the lab) also helped in the transfer of the $150,000 scanning electron microscope. The transfer resulted from a change in the laboratory's mission, which deals with assessing hazards to human health posed by exposure to operational chemicals. This gift will allow faculty in the department to develop and expand teaching and research programs focused on various microscopic methods. The presentation was made to Dr.Duane Wood, Cedarville College academic vice president; Dr.Dan Wetzel, dean of the School ofEngineering,Nursing. and Science;and Gordon Dingeldein, math and science lab technician.
