Her second book, The Entangling Net, is in its second printing and was featured at the National Maritime Museum in London and the Mystic Museums' 1998-99"Women of the Sea" display. Leslie travels throughout Alaska as a speaker for the Alaska Humanities Forum and addresses church and women's groups about the integration of faith and knowledge. Her husband, Duncan Fields '79, has limited his law practice to the representation of clients before the Alaska Board of Fish and the North Pacific Fisheries Management Council. For the past seven years, Duncan was an attorney for the plaintiffs in the Exxon Valdez litigation. He also continues to manage Fields & Sons, Inc., the family salmon fishing business. Duncan and Leslie reside in Kodiak, Alaska during the winter and spend their summers commercial fishing from a remote island in Shelik of Straits. They have four children: Naphtali (11), Noah (9), Isaac (6), and Elisha (4). 80s Judith Cole Disch '81 completed her master's degree in Christian counseling with high honors from Oral Roberts University. She is working for Federal Children's Services in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she resides with her family. Linda Gawthrop '81 recently moved to Littleton, Colorado with CBInternational. She works as a long-term candidate mobilizer. Judy Ockert Ohlin '81 and her husband, Philip, live in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania. For the past five years Judy has homeschooled their daughters: Bethany (10), Hannah (6), and Christina (4). Bill Boulet'82 is the pastor of Heritage Baptist Church in Lakeland, Florida. He was an adjunct pastoral theology professor at Spurgeon Baptist Bible College in 1998. Alum Named EDS Division President Randy Wiele'82 has been promoted from vice president of the Electronics Data Systems Electronic Commerce Division to president of the EDS E.Business Services Division. As president, Randy will oversee a team of more than 3,500 professionals specializing in business process management, transaction processing, hosted Internet applications, and electronic trading community enablement. Randy joined EDS in 1985 to lead the technical staff responsible for all materials management systems for General Motors North American Operations. Over the next decade, he served in a series of leadership roles including program management and business reengineering, account management,strategic development, and division management. Randy was named vice president of the electronic ommerce division in 1997. Under his direction, the unit became a global electronic business market presence, and revenues for the unit multiplied five-fold. Tim Fisher'83 is a donor relations director with Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services Foundation. He helps manage four retirement communities in the state of Ohio through the Southern Regional Office. His wife, Cindy Armstrong Fisher '84, works in the annual fund office at Cedarville College. They have three children, Ashley, Joseph, and Kayleigh, and their family resides in Springfield, Ohio. Mark Pinkerton '83 opened a new clinic, Monte Vista Family Practice, P.C., in Monte Vista, Colorado. He and his wife, Bonnie Flint Pinkerton '82, have four daughters. They were all excited to watch God work and put this clinic together in 53 days. Ken Bandy'84 has recently been appointed as the assistant professor of information systems and business education at Morehead State University (Kentucky). He holds master's degrees from the University of Denver and Dallas Theological Seminary and is completing a doctorate from the University of North Texas. Ken and his wife, Stacey, have two children, Stuart and McKenna. Joanna Tyler Kubiak '84 and her husband, Thomas, have joined a church planting ministry in the city of Chicago. Thomas resigned from the senior pastorate at Belden Regular Baptist Church in Niles, Illinois. Tim Tucker '84N has accepted a call to Calvary Baptist Church in Mesa, Arizona as senior pastor. Tim was a former ABWE missionary to Togo, West Africa. He and his wife, Lorna, have three children: Alicia (12), Andrew (8), and Peter (3). Kelly Braden '86N completed a master's degree in business administration from Florida Metropolitan University in January 1999. Marianne Hiner Humphrey'86 is currently a substitute teacher and volleyball coach. She and her husband, David, reside in Massillon, Ohio and have three children: Aaron (11), Amber (9), and Andrew (8). They are active members at Fellowship Baptist Church in Canton, Ohio. Jim Unger '86 is the pastor at Grand Blanc Community Church (Michigan). This is the church he and his wife, Eileen Friesen Unger '88, helped start in 1995. Eileen is working at home as a freelance copy editor. Dan Rase'87 serves as youth pastor at Temple Baptist in Portsmouth, Ohio. He also is the area representative for CDR Radio. Kim Fordyce'88 was chosen as the 1999 WHAC Coach of the Year. She has coached the women's softball team at Cornerstone University for the past eight years and ended this year's season with a record 31 wins. Todd Hummel'88N has accepted a position with First Union National Bank as a financial specialist. Todd, his wife, Penny Nelson Hummel'91, and son, Michael, reside in Geigertown, Pennsylvania. Chris Pilet'88 is now involved in full-time pre-field ministry with ABWE to Mongolia. He had been the youth pastor at Temple Baptist in Portsmouth, Ohio. Matthew Ong'89N is a section manager at a manufacturing company of semiconductor products in Malaysia. He and his wife, Linda, have three daughters and attend St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Matthew relates, "Cedarville College gave me a turning point in my life, and I always remember that." 90s Joel'90 and Dana Daniels Campbell'92 recently transferred to London, England, where Joel will be working as the international treasury manager for The St. Paul Companies, Inc. Bryan Mesnard '90 has accepted the director of merchandising position with the American Hockey League's newest franchise, the Louisville Panthers (Kentucky). Bryan spent the last nine years as a senior merchandise manager for JCPenney. His wife, Dawn Martin Mesnard '91, is teaching fall semester classes at both Asbury College and Midway College. Roger Allen '91 was recently ordained by First Baptist Church in Silvus, Illinois. Paul'91 and Beth Hartman Reichart'92 live in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Paul is a youth pastor at Pulpit Rock Church, and Beth works for ReMax realtors. Linda Sechrist '91N is the director of membership services at the Duneland Chamber of Commerce in Chesterton, Indiana. She attends Liberty Bible Church. Michael'92 and Tracy Justice Boyes'93 have started the work of planting a new church in north Columbus (Ohio). They have a daughter, Kelsy. Brian Blackburn '93 is the assistant pastor of worship and music at Grace Community Church in Fremont, Ohio. Tom Driscoll'93 and his wife, Jennifer, live in San Jose, California. Toni is a consultant with O'Brien-Kreitzberg Inc. He is contracted out to different government agencies to assist them in their project management. Matthew Mitchell'94 graduated in May 1999 from the Indiana University School of Optometry with a doctor of optometry degree. He will be practicing in Auburn, Indiana. After graduating, Matt went on his third missions trip to Honduras with other doctors involved with the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists. They ran a free eye clinic, performing over 900 eye examinations, as well as distributing hundreds of Bibles and thousands of pounds of donated food. They are in the process of building a permanent eye mission clinic in Honduras, complete with modern equipment and a lens finishing lab. Todd '95 and Dawn Merritt Entner'96 are preparing to work in China. In March 1999 they started language study in Beijing and also took a survey of service possibilities in Macau. Their target date to return to China is October 1999. Todd and Dawn reunited with many Cedarville alumni at the Hong Kong Keswick Conference in March 1999. Kevin '95 and Kim Eastland Kaboos'95 reside in Indiana. Kevin is currently working as a state sales representative for IBM. Kim graduated from the University of Kentucky Dental School in 1998 and finished her residency at Indiana University. She joined a private family dental practice in Fort Wayne, Indiana in August 1999. They are expecting to adopt a Korean baby by next year. Chris Stutes'95 was recognized with the Meritorious Service Award by the Xenia (Ohio) Police Division. This award is given for an act which results in the attempt to save a life, but involves no personal danger to the employee performing the act. Jim Blumenstock '96 received a master of divinity degree, magna cum laude, from Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary. He was the recipient of two awards: the Leon J. Wood Award for his work in Old Testament studies and the William Clarence Haas Award for his proficiency and promise for missionary service. He has also received a full scholarship to Calvin Theological Seminary to complete a master of theology degree. He and his wife, Karen Ware Blumenstock '96, reside in Grandville, Michigan. Karen is a secretary for the Independent Fundamental Churches of America office. They attend Grace Community Church in Hudsonville, Michigan, where Jim is a part-time youth pastor. Carri Gray'96 is currently at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas with Military Community Youth Ministries. She ministers to the teenage dependents of the military who struggle with issues such as moving every two years and the possibility that their parents could be deployed at any time. Julie Martindale'96 and her husband, Brian, have moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where Julie is a public policy information coordinator at Focus on the Family. Kaedra Moll'96 is currently on a short-term missions trip to Argentina with Grace Brethren Missions. Curtis Richardson '96 became the associate pastor of youth at Graham Road Baptist in March. He and his wife, Patty Crabtree Richardson '96, are looking forward to their ministry in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Tyler'97 and Melissa Hintz Allison '98 live in Sunnyvale, California. Melissa is the nursing supervisor for Pacific Home Health. Doug Amundson'97 was recently promoted into a controller's division at NCR in Dayton, Ohio. He and his wife, Heather, are expecting their first child. Christopher Campbell'97 is a third-grade teacher at Greenview North in Jamestown, Ohio. He has been recognized for making science fun for his students. John '97N and Rocha Acton Gruet'96N thank their alumni friends for their prayers and support during this difficult time. Racha's mother, Jacqueline Acton, went to be with the Lord on July 29, 1999. Rocha and John make their home in Cedarville, Ohio, where they enjoy tearing their two boys: Chase (2)and Devin (1). Brad IIlion '97 performed a contemporary Christian music oncert on May 23, 1999 at Grace Community Church in Huber Heights, Ohio. Brad and his wife, Karen, live in Nashville, Tennessee, where he is pursuing a song writing and performing career. Todd Lazier '97 has joined the staff of Huntsburg Baptist in Huntsburg, Ohio. He will serve as an associate pastor. Meluny Trimble Tiago '97 and her husband, Elias, live in Rio Branco, Brazil. Melany is an English teacher and taught a course at the seminary for Sunday school teachers this summer. She and her husband work with the junior high youth at First Regular Baptist Church of Rio Branco. JoHanna Byrer'98 received a master of social work degree from Roberts Wesleyan College(New York) on May 14, 1999. She currently resides in West Virginia. David '98 and Carrie Dekock Jones'98 reside in Dayton, Ohio. David is a financial analyst with Scitex Digital Printing, and Carrie is a teacher in the Montgomery County schools. Craig Magrum '98 has recently been promoted to underwriting traffic manager at Christian Hit Radio YES FM in Toledo, Ohio. He currently produces and hosts two music shows for the station. Andrea Osterc'98 has finished her first year of teaching high school math at Rosslyn Academy in Nairobi, Kenya. Heather Smith '98 lives in Lansing, Michigan, where she is the office manager for Congressman Nick Smith. Michael Yoder'98 is an accountant with Bertz & Co. He resides in Leola, Pennsylvania. Kristie Miller '99 is the third grade teacher at San Antonio Christian School (Texas). ONE IAT CHRIST Shirley Brown '81 and Matthew Emery were married May 8, 1999 at Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church in Rochester, New York. Shirley is a business analyst with CTG, Inc. James Kohlmeyer '86 and his wife, Shannyn, were married August 8, 1998. The wedding was held at Glen Ellyn Bible Church in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. After a honeymoon in Maui, the couple has settled in Tampa, Florida. Jim recently completed his third year of the accounting doctoral program at the University of South Florida. He plans to complete his dissertation by the summer of 2000. Shannyn is an adolescent therapist. Deb Yacynych '86 and Nate Nymeyer were married January 8, 1999 at the First Baptist Church of Middleville (Michigan). They enjoyed honeymooning in the Bahamas. For the past eight years, Deb has been an application developer for the sales forecasting department at Amway corporate headquarters. They reside in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Chrisa Clark '90 and David Jahnke were married January 30, 1999. Chrisa is a consultant for Transamerica and is involved with the Bowie Crofton Pregnancy Center. David works for a Washington D.C. law firm and is pursuing his teaching certificate. He has a history degree from the Virginia Military Institute. The couple enjoys working with the AWANA program at their local church. Laura Marshall'93 and Shah Mobed were married November 15, 1997 in Downers Grove, Illinois. The couple honeymooned in Maui and have made their home in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Laura is a senior staff accountant for Gooitech Corporation, and Shah is a tax analyst for Square D Corporation. Aaron Hiebert '94 and Heidi Sorensen '97 were married December 12, 1998 at First Baptist Church in Creston, Iowa. They enjoyed a honeymoon in Breckenridge, Colorado. Aaron is a police officer with the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department, and Heidi is an insurance consultant. The couple resides in Kansas City, Missouri. Camille Holloway '95 and Jon Schuette were married May 1, 1999. The couple honeymooned at a bed and breakfast in Door County, Wisconsin. They reside in Gig Harbor, Washington and enjoy hiking and mountain climbing. Ali ParseII'95 and Eric Salyers were married August 1, 1998 in Findlay, Ohio. They enjoyed a honeymoon in the Poconos. Ali works in the bookkeeping department at Kramer & Associates, and Eric is an electrical engineer at STL of Ohio. They reside in Beavercreek, Ohio. Scott Bennett'96 and Joy Wickholm '98 were married September 26, 1998 at Broadway Christian Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Many Cedarville alumni were in the wedding party. After a honeymoon to Hawaii, the couple has settled in Cincinnati, Ohio, where Joy is an information/instructional designer for Ehmke Movers, Inc. Matt Breneman '96 and Laurie Schmiel were married April 10, 1999 and honeymooned in the Cayman Islands. Matt is a manufacturing engineer at Micro-Coax, and Laurie is a registered nurse at Arlington Memorial Hospital. The couple resides in Harleysville, Pennsylvania.
