Inspire 31 Samuel ’95 and Sarah Mattke Garland ’98 announce the birth of Joshua Blake on September 17, 2002. Joshua joins his sister, Katherine Ann, at home. Phil Graves ’95 and Kristie Stockman were married April 12, 2003 at Faith Baptist Church in Knoxville, Maryland. After a two- week honeymoon in the Pacific Northwest and Victoria, Canada, they returned to their home in Brunswick, Maryland. Phil is an associate minister of students at Faith Baptist, and Kristie is a registered respiratory therapist at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Jennifer Kierstead ’95 teaches second grade and coaches both the junior varsity and varsity softball teams at a school in Brazil. She is excited that another year of teaching is underway and prays that she can influence the kids in a positive way. Phillip ’95 and Melissa Mocny Snyder ’96 announce the birth of Nicholas Glenn on September 10, 2002. Phillip is an operations manager for Enterprise Rent-A-Car for the Upstate New York group. Melissa enjoys staying at home in Rochester, New York and caring for Nicholas. Tami Doden Best ’96 and her husband, Brian, announce the birth of Sadie Ashlyn on April 9, 2003. She joins her sister, Audra Brianne, at home in Auburn, Indiana. Tami received her master of social work degree in 1999 from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but is currently a stay-at-home mom. Brian is the youth pastor at Lakewood Park Baptist Church. Bowe ’96 and Kimberly Bandy Hoy ’97 announce the birth of Caleb Roathy on January 28, 2003. They reside in Lexington, Kentucky. Brenda Mattke Rabideau '96 and her husband, Dan, welcomed Rebekah Jean on January 8, 2003. Rebekah joined siblings Zachary (4 1/2) and Hannah (3). Brenda is able to stay at home with the children, and Dan is an electrician in Hubertus, Wisconsin. Jennifer Roloff Rair ’96 and her husband, John, announce the birth of Avery John on October 11, 2002. John works for Westwind Electric, and Jennifer enjoys staying at home with Avery. John and Jennifer teach the junior high Sunday school class at Calvary Baptist Church in Massillon, Ohio. Aaron Roberts ’96 and Debbie Rotman ’95 were married June 29, 2002 at Grace Bible Presbyterian Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. Several Cedarville alumni participated in the wedding. After teaching fifth grade in Cedarville and in Texas, Debbie now teaches fifth grade at Heritage Elementary in Lakota Local Schools. Aaron is a manager for Fifth Third Bank at the Madisonville Operations Center. They reside in West Chester, Ohio. Jim ’96 and Emily Hodel Rowley ’97 announce the birth of Elodie Elizabeth on January 10, 2002. They reside in Rochester, Illinois, where Jim is a fifth grade teacher and runs his own small business. Emily has given up her elementary teaching position to pursue her new career as Elodie’s mom. Mark ’96 and Kristin Rinehart Totten ’96 make their home in New Haven, Connecticut, where Mark is completing his doctorate in Christian ethics at Yale University. Kristin is a legal aid attorney at New Haven Legal Assistance, where she practices in the areas of housing and community development. Mark and Kristin were married May 29, 1999. They are active members at Trinity Baptist Church. Sam Sternad Abels ’97 and her husband, Steve, live in Tokyo, Japan. Steve received the Rotary World Peace Scholarship and was accepted at the International Christian University, where he will work towards a master’s degree in public administration. Bart ’97 and Emily Weber Allen ’99 announce the birth of Luke Judson on August 8, 2002. They are currently attending the New Tribes Bible Institute in Michigan. Lisette Cardel Alt ’97 and her husband, Rodney, announce the birth of Matthew Lee on November 15, 2002. They reside in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, where Lisette is a stay-at-home mom, and Rodney works as an HVAC technician. Jeremy ’97 and Emilie Israel Awbrey ’97 announce the birth of Kelsie Marie. She was born August 15, 2002 and joins her sister, Kaylie (3), in Delaware, Ohio. Jeremy is the manager of technical services at Gates McDonald, and Emilie enjoys staying home with the girls. They are involved in various ministries at Delaware Grace Brethren Church. The happy grandparents are Bill ’69 and Marty Brown Schill ’69 . David ’97 and Joanna Hodson Butgereit ’95 announce the birth of Lauren Ann on January 2, 2003. David is a nurse in Dayton, and Joanna left her job as a nurse to stay home with Lauren in Xenia, Ohio. Lisa Van Wormer Hodge ’97 and her husband, Kevin, announce the birth of Caleb James on February 4, 2003. They reside in Greenville, South Carolina, where Kevin is an auditing manager with Ernst and Young, and Lisa enjoys staying at home with Caleb. Stephen ’97 and Rebecca Cave Hodson ’96 announce the birth of Kara Joy on January 4, 2002. They live in Mt. Morris, Illinois, where Stephen is a high school guidance counselor at Dixon High School. Rebecca is a nurse, but is now staying at home with Kara. Tom ’97 and Michelle Bellew Sagraves ’95 announce the birth of Joel Stephen on August 28, 2002. He was welcomed home by his big brother, Micah (4), in Howell, Michigan. Tom is the pastor of student ministries at Community Bible Church in Brighton, Michigan, and Michelle enjoys staying at home with the boys. Jeff ’97 and Melissa Hewitt Stanton ’97 announce the birth of KayleighAnne Elizabeth on September 20, 2002. She joins her brother, Caleb, at home in Portage, Michigan. Jamie Tegtmeier ’97 and Rick Hartley were married February 1, 2003 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. They enjoyed a honeymoon in Punta Cana. Jamie is a senior accountant in the real estate industry, and Rick is the general manager for a manufacturing company. They reside near Cleveland, Ohio. George Weber ’97 and Stacy Taylor ’00 were married June 21, 2003 in Milford, Ohio. George is a part-time assistant coach for women’s soccer at Cedarville University and is also a teacher’s assistant at Summit Academy in Xenia, Ohio. Stacy has been the administrative assistant in the alumni relations office at Cedarville for the past two years, but is now a fourth through eighth grade math and social studies teacher at Summit Academy. The couple eventually plans to join other Cedarville alumni on the mission field of South Africa. Jonathan ’97 and Sarah Jenks Weber ’97 announce the birth of Warren Barnabas on July 8, 2003 at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby, Ohio. Jonathan Williams ’97 and his wife, Anna, announce the birth of Samuel Thomas on April 22, 2002. Jonathan continues to work for Hewitt Associates
