Inspire 33 a beautiful resort in the Riviera Maya region of Mexico. Debi is a global treasury consultant in the DuPont finance organization, and Tim works in sales and marketing at the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce. They reside in Newark, Delaware. Doug ’97 and Heather Ganly Amundson ’98 took a pre-field survey trip in June to Santiago, Chile. They feel that the Chilean people are a part of their hearts, and their desire is to be involved in ministering to the Chileans. Please pray that their support level will increase so they can begin their ministry. Rachel Batchelder ’97 and Phil Parrill were married October 4, 2003. Several Cedarville alumni traveled many miles to attend the wedding. The couple resides in Springfield, Ohio, where Rachel works part-time as a public health nurse while pursuing a master of science degree with a concentration in community health nursing. Phil is a human resources representative for Wright State University. Scott ’97 and Janine Pinkley Borling ’96 announce the birth of Nathaniel Dale on September 8, 2003. He was welcomed home by big brother Quinn (2) in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Scott is the deputy city clerk, and Janine is thankful to stay at home with the boys. Jeff ’97 and Mavis Wu Davis ’95 announce the birth of Anderson James on December 10, 2003. They reside in Holly Springs, North Carolina. Steve ’97 and Holly Sorensen Houg ’99 announce the birth of Carson Michael on July 31, 2003. They live in West Des Moines, Iowa, where Steve is a financial advisor. Holly enjoys staying at home with Carson and being a Pampered Chef consultant. Susie Gray Hulsopple ’97 and her husband, Alan, have moved to Osan Air Base in South Korea. After being separated for eight months while Alan served a remote tour of duty, they are thankful that they can be a family again. They have a son, Tommy (5), with whom Susie was able to grow closer to during the separation from Alan. They are all getting involved in the local church, getting accustomed to living in a foreign country, and making new friends. David ’97 and Liz Roseboom Kaynor ’97 announce the birth of Ellie Rose. She was born February 13, 2003 and joins her sister, Jenna (3), at home in Detroit, Michigan. Christine Dabravalskas Lipian ’97 and her husband, John, announce the birth of Kenneth Christopher on April 13, 2004. His sister, Emily Rose (2), awaited his arrival in Medina, Ohio. John is a chemist for Goodyear, while Christine stays busy with the children at home. Eric ’97 and Rachel Sharp Peery ’98 announce the birth of Sara Nicole on February 11, 2004. They reside in Elizabethtown, Indiana. Brenda Kregel Tower ’97 and her husband, Eric, announce the birth of Ashlynn Kay. She was born July 5, 2003 and joins her sister, Elizabeth (2), in Jenison, Michigan. Jonathan Weber ’97 received his master of divinity degree from Baptist Bible Seminary in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania in May 2004. The Webers are planning to join Evangelical Baptist Missions and minister in Belgium. Elizabeth Stone Williams ’97 and her husband, Jeff, announce the birth of Faith Elizabeth on March 31, 2004. She was welcomed home by her brother, Joshua David (2), in Michigan. Liz looks forward to completing her master’s degree in elementary education in March 2005. She currently teaches third grade in the Detroit public schools. Jim ’98 and Beth Abe Amstutz ’00 announce the birth of Andrew James on September 21, 2003. They reside in Cedarville, where Jim is the resident director of Rickard Hall and Beth enjoys taking care of Drew and substitute teaching. Jaime Larson Cook ’98 and her husband, James, announce the birth of Hannah Joy on October 12, 2003. Jaime works part- time as a pediatric hematology/oncology nurse for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and James works for the U.S. General Accounting Office. They reside in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Joseph Lloyd ’98 received his master of divinity degree with honor from Baptist Bible Seminary in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania in May 2004. Gretchen Taylor Pace ’98 and her husband, Matt, announce the birth of Taryn Amber on January 8, 2004. They reside in Simpsonville, South Carolina, where they both work for BI-LO, a southeastern grocery chain based in Mauldin, South Carolina. Matt works as a store manager in store operations, and Gretchen is an analyst in their corporate headquarters. Jake ’98 and Jill Witte Porter ’98 announce the birth of Rebekah Grace on March 14, 2003 in Germany, where Jake is stationed as a captain in the U.S. Air Force. Jill worked at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center as a nurse until Rebekah’s birth, and she is now happy to stay at home. The Porters anticipate a return to the U.S., where Jake will pursue a master’s degree in organizational management from George Washington University and work several rotations in the Pentagon with the Air Force intern program. Angie Brewster Reed ’98 recently published a meal planning cookbook, Beating the “What’s for Supper?” Blues . Angie teaches language arts at Central Middle School and lives in Xenia, Ohio with her husband and three children. Tim Ware ’98 was recently selected for the Governors Award of Indiana. He is the youth services coordinator at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Laurie Whaley ’97 and her co-editor, Kate Etue, recently received a 2004 Gold Medallion Book Award from the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) for Revolve : The Complete New Testament (NCV). Laurie was featured in the Spring 2004 Inspire for her work on Revolve , which delivers the New Testament to teen girls in a magazine format.
