4 Fall 2004 Director’s Chair W hen I was growing up, people didn’t talk much about adoption. How thankful I am to see that change! I love hearing stories of adoption. There’s something so beautiful about the act of choosing. Steven Curtis Chapman has said, “Adoption is a perfect picture of what God has done for each of us in making us His children through Christ.” Although theologians will debate how our becoming a part of God’s family differs from the act of adoption, there still exists a touching picture of God choosing to make us a part of His family … despite ourselves. I think you’ll enjoy reading these stories of how CU alumni lives have been changed through the adoption process.
