time moment in Cedarville published its first catalog in 1895, boasting yearly tuition of $22 and room and board in town for less than $4 a week. The town, described as one of the prettiest and most healthful locations in Ohio, was a hub of communication by telephone, telegraph, and railroad and “entirely free of malaria.” Along with the classrooms, library, and gymnasium, the chapel was in Founders Hall.
