Stephen '83 and Debbie(Ames'81) Hinks added Robert Scott to their family tree on October 17, 1990. Little Robert weighed 10 lbs. and meas- ured 22 in. He weighed 8 lbs. 2 1/2 oz. and measured 21 in Bruce'86 and Anita MacNabb are blessed with the arrival of Brendan Anders. He was born on January 24, 1990, weighing 8 lbs.8 1/2 oz. and measuring 20 in. long. Bruce is administrator of Beverly Enterprises, a nursing facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dale '86 and Jane(Simington '88) Willett joyfully announce the birth of Jordan Denise. She was born on September 21, 1990. She weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz. and was 20 in. long. Emily, 2,joined in the birth day celebration. Dan '88 and Terri Shepherd welcomed Rachel Marie on October 8, 1990. She weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. and measured 20 in. Steven and Debra(Reynolds'88)Smith call their little addition Derrick James. He was born on October 18, 1990, weighed a healthy 10 lbs. 8 oz. and measured 22 in. Stephen '88 and Christine(Check '87)Wood are the proud parents of Erin Lacey. She weighed 8 lbs. 13 oz. and measured 21 in. long when she was born on October 1, 1990. Deaths Dr. John Merle Rife'16 died on December 16, 1990, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, at the age of 95. Dr. Rife served seven years as a pastor in Ohio and Indiana and taught classical languages for 36 years(28 at Muskingham College). In 1952, he was a Fulbright professor at the University of Athens in Greece. He also authored two books and numerous articles. Surviving are a brother, four children, nine grandchildren, and twelve great- grandchildren.
