On May 28, 1992 our Heritage alumni and the Cedarville College Alumni Association will wend our way to Columbus to spend a day at Ameriflora'92. It is set up in Disney World fashion so that one ticket allows you to visit all the exhibits. Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime chance to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the discovery of America. Speaker Bruce Wilkinson challenged the college family to examine their lives, confess sin, and put feet to their desire to bear much fruit for the Lord. Only He knows how many hearts were changed, but many students committed themselves to a concern for evangelizing Russia. Dr. Wilkinson is founder and president of Walk Thru the Bible Ministries in Atlanta, Georgia. 41 Prior to an afternoon of basketball, Kathy Freese, the new women's basketball coach, meets alumni at the Yellow Jack ni luncheon. Three young men received sweatshirts for shooting five out of five in the freethrow contest at . halftime. The Alumni Association sponsored the contest. AL CECOLLE COUICE STUDENT CENTER In honor of his 500th victory, friends and colleagues supnsed Dr. Callan '84H by redecorating his office overnight' His office now displays years of awards and a historic bookshelf built by Pete Reese'60 and Elvin King '64N. Each year of coaching has its own scrap box for news articles and memorabilia. The shelf also notes facts such as the year Mike DiCuirci started the pep band, Dr. Jim Phipps first broadcast the basketball games,arid Dr. Dave Matson began annoikcing the games. Julie Butler'87 enjoys the fellowship at the Yellow Jacket alumni luncheon. Before the varsity game, Lt. Governor Mike DeWine reads a commendation from Ohio Governor George Voinovich, congratulating Coach Don Callan on his 500th win. ; riP Vern Hooper '69, Norris Smith '63,and Jerry Osborne '65, recall the good old days. Tim Danube'84 goes up for the shot. Bryan Benson '83 congratulates Jeff Gilbert'87 whose entry,"Sting" won the Name the Bee Contest. Over 30 Yellow Jacket basketball alumni returned to honor Coach Don Callan '84H for his 500th win. At the final buzzer men's alumni game ,score was 98-97. Captain Eric Mounts '81 led the white team with Vern Hooper'69 and Rick Watson '75 co-coaching. Joy Fagan '89 scored 18 points in the alumnae game. The white team was victorious as 18 women returned for the contest. , a • Todd Pennington '91 captained the blue team which took the game by one point. 3Spring
